
There she is, the controversial Yasukuni Shrine. This is where the Prime Minister visits each year to pay his respects to fallen Japanese soldiers from the various wars. This annual act results in an immediate explosion of international outrage from many citizens in China and Korea, who oppose the fact that the shrine also pays homage to certain individuals who were tried as wartime criminals.
