The sight of all these mikan groves reminded me of when I was a young child and hated tomatoes. My father told me that he was going to plant so many tomato plants to entangle the house that I would not be able to leave the premises without eating a ripe and juicy tomato. I wonder if the same thing happened here between a Japanese father and his son?
