Allow me to introduce you to famous Kumamoto food #2: Karashi Renkon. Renkon is known in English as lotus root. Meanwhile, Karashi is a spicy yellow mustard commonly used as a condiment with various Japanese foods. As you can see, they fill every hole with spicy mustard before frying and slicing the thing. It was very spicy and very delicious!
