This was the actual bus stop I used to get around the island. Does this not look like it was ripped directly out of Totoro?

    There was an exhibition of Kazuo Oga's work at the museum in Matsuyama. It was quite interesting to see his work up close.

    I happened to visit that exhibit as well in Matsuyama. I thought the artwork was amazing. Since Yakushima served as inspiration for scenery in Mononoke, maybe the bus stop design was intentional?
