Welcome to Ishitei-ji Temple (literally "stone hand temple" in Japanese). Ishitei-ji is the most famous Buddhist temple in Matsuyama. As the hanging red lanterns announce, it is also temple number 51 of the 88 temples on the Shikoku pilgrimage.
