This is a giant cat outside of the "Cats Livin" store. This store charged 800 Yen (about 8 bux) for the opportunity to go into a room and pet cats. You could also buy cats for approx. $1600 to $2000 each.
That cat is so cool! You'd never see that anywhere around here.. unless I build one in my front garden, now there's an idea. :) Good luck in Japan and in your new job?
