Here are some random and fun pictures that didn't really fit into the categories up above (soon to be posted). These pictures (and the ones to come up above) were all taken during my day trip today to Fushimi with the English conversation club at Kyoto University.
I really don't know where exactly we went, because the trip was very much led by one all-knowing Japanese girl who led us around like the sheep we are. At one point we all piled onto a small wooden boat and went speeding down a river to an observation platform. After that a brief stop at the platform we took the boat back to civilization and walked through a small covered shopping area. It was in this shopping area that we waited and witnessed the majesty of the Kyoto City Bank public clock show.
