Here is the grave of Saicho a Buddhist monk and creator of the Tendai School of Buddhism (circa 800) )that finds its home on Mt. Hiei. To this day, many people request burial at the cemetary on Mt. Hiei, because they believe that Saicho will guide them safely into the afterlife. There was a German news crew interviewing a modern-day monk right in front of the gravesite, so we couldn't get any closer than this.
