Here is Shaka-Do or the Buddha Sakyamuni's Hall. This is the biggest and oldest temple on Mt. Hiei. The original hall was burned down by the evil warlord Oda Nobunaga, and what you see in the photo is a rennovation done by the following ruler after Nobunaga died. There was actually not much to see inside, only a small golden statue representation of the Buddha.
