I spotted this new building while strolling around the Yoyogi area of Tokyo. It looks like a cross between the Empire State and Chrysler buildings doesn't it? Speaking of tall buildings, earlier this month ground was broken on the construction of the Tokyo Sky Tree (originally to be named the New Tokyo Tower). When completed, this broadcasting tower will be the largest artificial structure in Japan. It will be nearly twice the height of the current Tokyo Tower and stand over 2000 feet tall. The best part is that the location will be right here in Asakusa! Whose idea was it to put this beautiful shinning beacon of a building in the crummiest area of Tokyo?
