Here is my bedroom minus the whole "bed" thing. This is basically one big tatami room with a futon in the middle. Because the futon mattress itself lacks any sort of cushion, it basically feels like you're sleeping directly on the floor. I've had to pile on lots of extra blanket layers to add more padding.
