This picture represents what is probably the best all-around bowl of udon I've ever had in my life. While wandering around Takamatsu's shopping district, I happened to see no fewer than 14 or so Japanese people file into a nondescript hole-in-the-wall noodle shop. Figuring that this must be the place to go, I of course followed them inside. Turns out the shop had lots of autographed signs adorning the walls, so it must be quite famous.
One chef was basically hand cutting each individual batch of noodles and the other guy was fixing the dish with all the toppings. This is nattou udon. I seriously considered ordering a second bowl in order to try something different, but stopped myself.
After eating I promptly forgot the name and location of this place.
