This is 31-year-old enka singer Tagawa Toshimi (田川寿美), the third and final Columbia artist I met during the NHK TV show filming. She was very friendly (and VERY pretty - a fact that my male co-workers and I all agreed upon) but she cracked up laughing when I introduced myself using humble Japanese and apologized for wasting her time (she was being tied into her kimono when I met her which is why I apologized). Out of all the singers I watched perform during the show's filming, I liked her songs the best.

After the filming was over, all us record company head-hanchos (wink wink) stood in a line to bow and thank the artists and staff members for their hard work as they left the studio. Tagawa-san burst out laughing once again when she saw me bow to her and said with a laughing smile, "Oh, they made you do this too." I told Shimura Bucho that she couldn't stop laughing at me after the event was over. He told me that that is the way she is and to worry if she stopped laughing.
